February brings some new faces to the Inspired Mic at Leroy’s 19th Hole, the Country Club restaurant and bar for the Cypress Knoll Golf Course in Palm Coast. In the coming two weeks this site will display the presenters who will be on stage on February 17th. With two months under our belt at Leroy’s, we feel we have the recipe for an even better event this month! We are excited about our growth and the community’s interest in local talent. Please check back each day for a little insight into our Inspired Mic Event presenters!
Cyndi could be described as a lot of things, a Midwestern gal, a hip grandma, a hot head, a computer systems administrator, a bit of a crazy weirdo, a deep thinker, a motorcyclist, an urban explorer, a wannabe novelist, a rebel leader, a dancer, a yogi, or a powerful Jedi mind alchemist, the list can go on and on. Inside her miraculous mind race thousands of thoughts per day. It is said that the average person has an estimated 60,000 thoughts per day, this seems to be a low figure to Cyndi. She has learned to auto-correct random bad thoughts such as stabbing her co-worker with a plastic butter knife in a fit of rage. These types of thoughts are deemed unacceptable and reactive. Even though some days it may seem like the only viable option to Cyndi – she hasn’t acted upon it yet. At the time of this writing the mental auto-correct is still functioning intact. J
Joking aside, our thoughts are a powerful human tool if utilized properly. Cyndi believes stories are the instruction manual for the human mind and psyche. Stories have been told, re-told and sent down to us for centuries to help us live better lives. Storytelling is in our DNA, it is human nature to tell tales that entertain, instruct, encourage, frighten and enlighten with written word, song, action, or art form. It is communicating to others ‘hey, me too’ or ‘try this it works for me’. Storytelling can be through writing, music, art, or dance, the options are endless. Cyndi is passionate about storytelling in all its forms and keeping it ‘real’ in our lives.
Currently, Cyndi is working on a work of transcendental fiction called “The Fourth World” and a non-fiction Cycle Yoga book as well. As a writer, she believes our life path is determined more by the stories we believe about ourselves than our circumstances. Her aim is to inspire and motivate not only herself, but hopefully inspire others to achieve their best life. Read more at her blog Cyndi-Rose.com.
