In the coming two weeks this site will display the presenters who will be on stage on January 20th. One of the beauties of Leroy’s 19th Hole is we have a capacity of nearly 100. In December, more than 60 people showed up for the event! We are excited about our growth and the community’s interest in local talent. Marjorie HeadshotMarjorie Phoenix

Marjorie Phoenix has been writing for over 20 years. As a child she loved to read to escape into a different world. Because of books, she fell in love with the written word and used writing to create her own world. As much as she enjoyed creative writing, she never thought her first published piece would be non-fiction, and a memoir at that. Marjorie’s book titled, Who the Hell Do You Think You Are? chronicles a 15-month journey. Left homeless and penniless after spending the night in jail, she didn’t realize that that was not the worse that could happen to her. Her book is about her search for finding meaning in the horror of an unjust reality, but also experiencing the miracles that can happen in your darkest hour. She always knew her book was not about her, and more about the countless women that have and will go through similar journeys.

Since then she has discovered that more and more women that have gone through traumatic divorces suffer identity crisis, financial crisis and emotional crisis. Armed with her book, Marjorie speaks to groups, organizations and churches about women finding their power of resilience as well as their true selves in the midst of a crisis.
