About the author
Born in West Virginia in 1958, I grew up, graduated from Dunbar High School (1977) and West Virginia State University (1981) and moved to Raleigh, North Carolina in August of 1981. I worked as a manager in Raleigh for 17 years. I married Bobbie Fildes on July 4, 1991. In August 1998 we moved to Crescent City, Florida. January 23, 2001 we moved to Palm Coast, Florida where we now reside. Bobbie and I have six children, four girls and two boys.
Writing
Currently I have two books published - Fatherhood 101 - Bonding Tips for Building Loving Relationships and Loves Lost and Found. I've had articles published in Commercial Construction magazine and currently have four books in the works. Two books are virtually done and a third is three quarters finished. The first book coming out of the three is Writing is Easy, a collaboration with my fellow Rogues Gallery Writers. The next book on its way is tentatively titled The Writing Life - the realities of being a writer. If I'm very diligent, the third book, Camping is Easy - in the western North Carolina mountains will be available by the end of the year. I also have three novels in various stages of conundrum.
Publishing
- As President of ClearView Press Inc., I'm thrilled to be meeting potential authors and getting their work out. Publishing has become a passion with me and I'm looking forward to what 2010 has in store for CVP. So far, I have six authors signed to publish this year. By the end of the year, CVP should have around ten books in its stable. This figure is totally stimulating and causes me to have high expectations for the years to come!
